IRA EAKER FELLOW RECOGNITION MEDAL PERSONALLY PRESENTED TO AND OWNED BY CHUCK YEAGER, THE FIRST PILOT TO BREAK THE SOUND BARRIER
Ira Eaker Fellow recognition medal from 1983 personally presented to and owned by Chuck Yeager.  Featuring a 3 inch bronze portrait medal of World War II Air Force General Eaker encased in a handsome clear Lucite display with a walnut base bearing a bronze plaque dedicated to “Brigadier General Charles E. Yeager, USAF (Ret.), Iron Gate Chapter, AFA, 1983,” overall measures 7.5 by 5.5 by 6.5 inches, and in pristine condition.  We were unable to locate any personal possessions from Yeager available for sale at auction in the past 25 years making the present medal extremely rare and highly desirable.
