This high AU Spanish colonial coin was minted in the final year of the Mexican War Of Independence, which spanned for 11 years. The Army of Three Guarantees won a hard fought revolution against tyrannical Spain. They entered Mexico City on September 27th, 1821 and declared the land “New Spain”.
